These Terms & Ride Policies explain how Heart Rides works and what riders and families should expect when using our services.

By requesting or using a Heart Rides service, you agree to these policies.

Non-Emergency Transportation Only

Heart Rides provides non-emergency transportation. We do not provide ambulance service, emergency transportation, medical care, medical monitoring, or medical advice.

If this is an emergency, call 911.

Ride Requests

A ride request is not confirmed until Heart Rides confirms the ride directly with you by phone, text, email, or another approved method.

We may be unable to accept every ride request due to scheduling, availability, location, weather, safety concerns, or other circumstances.

Service Area

Heart Rides is based in Sun City, Arizona and serves Sun City and nearby communities.

Service areas may change based on driver availability, distance, schedule, and the type of ride requested.

Hours

General service hours:

Monday–Friday: 6:30 am–6:30 pm
Saturday: 7:30 am–4:30 pm
Sunday: [Closed / By appointment only / Insert policy]

Availability may vary. Some rides may require advance notice.

Rider Responsibilities

Riders are responsible for:

– Providing accurate pickup and drop-off information
– Being ready at the scheduled pickup time
– Letting Heart Rides know about mobility needs before the ride
– Bringing any required personal items, identification, payment method, appointment information, or paperwork
– Following basic safety instructions during the ride

Mobility and Assistance

Heart Rides may provide general, non-medical assistance when safe and appropriate.

Heart Rides does not provide medical lifting, medical transfers, physical therapy, nursing services, or emergency support.

If a rider requires medical assistance, physical lifting, or specialized care, a family member, caregiver, or qualified medical transportation provider may be required.

Walkers, Wheelchairs, Bags, and Personal Items

Please tell Heart Rides in advance if the rider will have a walker, wheelchair, oxygen tank, medical equipment, groceries, luggage, or other items.

Heart Rides will do its best to accommodate reasonable items, but some requests may depend on vehicle space, safety, and driver ability.

Riders are responsible for their personal belongings.

Companions and Caregivers

A family member, caregiver, or companion may be allowed to ride when space is available and the ride is approved in advance.

Please mention this when scheduling the ride.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

Please notify Heart Rides as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule.

Cancellations should be made at least [24 hours] before the scheduled ride whenever possible.

Late cancellations or missed rides may be subject to a fee of [insert fee or “no fee at this time”].

Late Pickups and Delays

Heart Rides makes every effort to arrive on time. However, traffic, weather, appointment delays, road conditions, vehicle issues, and other factors may affect timing.

If Heart Rides is running late, we will do our best to contact you.

If the rider is not ready at the scheduled time, Heart Rides may need to wait, reschedule, or cancel the ride depending on the schedule.

Payment

Payment details should be confirmed before the ride.

Payment may be due [before the ride / at the time of service / after the ride / insert policy].

Accepted payment methods may include [cash, card, check, online payment, invoice, or other approved method].

Prices, fees, and payment policies may change.

Safety

Heart Rides may refuse, cancel, or end a ride if we believe there is a safety concern for the rider, driver, staff, vehicle, or public.

Safety concerns may include unsafe behavior, unsafe pickup/drop-off conditions, severe weather, medical emergencies, or a rider needing a higher level of care than Heart Rides can provide.

No Guarantee of Availability

Heart Rides does its best to provide reliable transportation, but ride availability is not guaranteed.

We are not responsible for missed appointments, travel delays, provider delays, airline delays, weather delays, or events outside our control.

Website Use

The Heart Rides website is provided for general information, ride requests, contact, and community support.

We may update website content, services, policies, pricing, and availability at any time.

Limitation of Responsibility

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Heart Rides is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages related to use of the website or services.

Nothing in these policies is intended to limit rights that cannot legally be limited.
